dfacct - Define Account
  • Definition Types used to group Expenditures, Revenues, and G/L Codes together
  • User defined number of permutations / combinations
  • May use Security to restrict access by Definition Type

dfadd - Define Power Add

  • Primary tool for Building Add or Change processes
  • Can be linked with reports to capture static information applied to a group

dfchg - Define Change

  • Used to manage high order find & replace operations
  • Can be simple From and To
  • Can use expression parser for complex manipulations

dfmatrix - Define Matrix

  • Row Column based data elements like spreadsheets
  • Evaluated by Row Column or Linear
  • Examples: Salary Schedules and Calendars
  • Accessible using Expression Parser

dfmenu (obsolete) - Define Menu Option

  • Defines options available to domenu
  • domenu uses a screen definition to orient options
  • Obsolete with OpenRDA Interface
  • Integrate Multiple Applications in Menu

dfmtn - Define Maintain Master

  • Primary Workhorse for Editing, Viewing, and Querying
  • May be Integrated with Power Add and Report/Output Definitions to Create Procedural Functions

  • OpenRDA's direction is for all output displayed by viewpdf (opposed to rdaout)

viewtran - View Transactions

  • Transaction Processing capturing all changes to databases
  • Provides Undo Function and Accountability
  • Disaster Recovery
