CyberSupport
XPERT for Schools and XPERT for Govt.
Lori Gindlesperger from Berlin Brothersvalley School District in PA suggested we remove the transversal from the Subject field to the Save and to close the On Line Help window once electing to send a CyberSupport ticket. This enables easy reference to the source process that is being reported.

Simple Menus
XPERT for Schools and XPERT for Govt.
We have developed a new menu system which is currently in peer review with our Customer Advisory Board. This project was initiated by the insight of Kathy DiSalvo and enhanced by Linda Summers. The objective is to have a more intuitive and comforting procedural layout of our application. We have received many positive responses from our Webinar.

Archiving Receipts

We have added processes to Financial Receipts that allow you to scan your checks when implementing F.A.S.T. Scanning technologies.

NOTES in Job Pay Rate Masters

We have added NOTES to the Job Pay Rate Master, collected from Select Payroll and Add Gross Earnings to record why staff was renumerated.

NOTES in Payroll Master
XPERT for Schools and XPERT for Govt.
Notes have been added to the Payroll Master for reflections on why a payroll was executed.

Encumbrances on Budget Prep Expenditure Reports
XPERT for Schools and XPERT for Govt.
Thanks to Brenda Bartee at Botetourt County School Board, VA we have added Encumbrances as an election to Expenditure summary reports in Budget Preparation.

New Fields in Job Pay Master
XPERT for Schools and XPERT for Govt.
We have added 10 new fields in the Job Pay Master in order to allow it to report changes of the following within a job: Position Identification, Gross Identification, Grade, Step, Step Alpha, Misc Salary Amount, Misc Unit Amount, Extra Service, Retirement Salary and Life Insurance Salary. The affected processes are the Job Pay Master, Select Substitutes, Select Payroll and Add Gross Earnings. We have found this provides valuable information for reconciling earning and deduction calculations.

Scalable F.A.S.T.
XPERT for Schools and XPERT for Govt.
F.A.S.T. Is now available in more scalable formats, Auto magical Only, Auto magical w/Work Groups, and Auto magical w/Work Groups and Scanning technologies. Implementing different levels will provide a cost effective solution for everyone (partially, moderately, and completely paperless).

Set Expenditure Account Manager

A new report has been created that will allow you to setup Account Managers on Expenditure Accounts in mass. This is great for site based management / custom security profiles.

A new report has been created that will allow you to setup Reference Types on Expenditure Accounts in mass. This is great for site based management / custom security profiles.

Set Revenue Account Manager

Allow Post Activity
XPERT for Schools and XPERT for Govt.
A new boolean in the security profile to allow Post Activity to be displayed. Many of our super-users want the Post Activity process displayed for them in procedural sub menus, though they do not want subordinates to perform this task. This use to require Process Level security, now it is much easier to implement.

Report Generator Sub menu
XPERT for Schools and XPERT for Govt.
There is a new Generic Setup Variable in Utilities that denotes whether you want this sub menu displayed on the Main Menu. If you elect to not have this menu displayed on the Main Menu, it will be displayed on the Xpert Tools Menu for your convenience.

Skip Over Budget Warnings
XPERT for Schools and XPERT for Govt.
There is a new Generic Setup Variable that denotes when you desire to skip over budget warnings (errors will still be returned). This boolean has been implemented in Add Journal Entries, Add Receipts, Add Vendor Vouchers, Add Purchase Order Transactions, Add EZ Po's, and Add PO Vouchers for your convenience. You will still receive an Error when your user profile does not allow Budgetary Override.

Your Organization Logo
XPERT for Schools and XPERT for Govt.
There is a new Generic Setup Variable to capture the name of your organization logo in pixmap form (logo.xpm). After this is setup, when updates are executed, your organization logo will appear at the top of each menu. This provides a professional look and feel. It works great with Simplified Menus too!

MySQL Integration Tool (getmysql)
XPERT for Schools and XPERT for Govt.
We have developed a special tool used when integrating 3rd Party applications using MysQL with MBGUI and XPERT. With this new tool, your 3rd Party Application can appear as just another MBGUI or XPERT module. Allow us the opportunity to provide you with custom setup using Xpert Tools to integrate your islands of data.
